Pc Expertz Summer Internship Program: Welcome our summer interns!

We are proud to announce that we have a dynamic team of intelligent and motivated High School students joining us this summer as interns! We are very excited and thrilled to have them on board and to be contributing to their life experience and future success! 
Our internship program is not just about sitting in a lab and learning about technology , we have an intense one month program, where they will be exposed to:

• Office skills, interaction with co-workers in a professional environment
• Technical skills, computer repairs, ticketing systems, troubleshooting,
• Client / customer interaction, feedback follow up
• Accounting skills the use of Peachtree accounting system, inventory management
• Writing / blogging skills, management of a Facebook page, basics of marketing.
• Basic Web Design Skills – Web development skills.
• Site Visits to select clients to understand how face to face customer interaction takes place.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an internship if we didn’t give them our own form of “homework”. Each intern must research and submit a 500 Word blog article every week for the duration of this program, and if that’s not enough, a fundamental aspect of this internship is the idea of problem solving via the use of technology. These interns will be required to determine a real-world problem they may have encountered, and how technology can solve it. This can be related to school, a business or a charity/organisation of their choice. The culmination of this will be a PowerPoint presentation of their solution to the relevant stakeholders.

We would like to introduce Ms Reanna Pierre and Mr Antonio Sankar.

Meet Reanna

Ms Reanna Pierre is 17 years old, and recently completed her secondary education at St. François Girls’ College from 2014 to 2019. While attending St. François Girl’s College, she was engaged in the schools’ dragon boat team namely SFGC Orcas. For the past five years Reanna and her team has had many successful winning streaks and are currently one of the best all female teams at the secondary school level. Her short-term goal is to apply to form six and pursue studies in science and mathematics at a more advanced level for two years. She also informs us that after gaining her A level passes, she will continue to advance to University where she will pursue Physics or Astrophysics and earn a degree in a respective discipline.

Meet Antonio:

Mr Antonio Sankar is 16 years old and attends Vishnu Boys Hindu College where he will be entering 5th form in the new school year. He pursues studies in science subjects together with Additional Mathematics and Information Technology (IT). He is in the UNESCO club which takes care of the environment and saving animals. His future plans include attending the University of the West Indies to pursue engineering.
